What is a reading retreat?
A reading retreat is for book lovers to come together at a relaxing location where they can step away from daily life and focus on themselves, while reading and relaxing with greater intentions.
Do we read the book together or before we arrive at the retreat?
At the readers sleepover, we read the book together at the retreat location, which allows for greater connections and discussions.
What does the payment cover?
At the retreats (unless specified) the payment reserves your spot at the retreat and includes accommodations, snacks and drinks, a retreat bag, the featured book for the retreat, and a once in a lifetime experience.
Do I have to share a bed with someone?
You will NEVER have to share a bed with anyone. You will always be guaranteed your own bed. You MAY share a room with someone - this depends on numbers, lodging, and location. If you would share a room with someone, we always take into account sleep habits/needs to accommodate all guests.
Is there an itinerary for the retreat?
Yes! I specifically design and curate our retreat experience based on feedback from surveys that are sent out beforehand. Based off the survey information, I will craft our itinerary and send it out to all attendees ahead of time, so that they can then approve it! Each retreat has different vibes and activities based on the group and feedback, which makes each experience amazing and unique.
What can I expect at a retreat?
Welcoming environment, dedicated reading time, new friends, community, relaxation, laughter, greater connections, collab opportunities, beautiful location and spaces, adventure/exploring surrounding area, crafts, book discussions, games, the feeling of not wanting to leave, and MUCH MORE!
Why is there a code of conduct?
This experience is all about making sure everyone feels safe and welcome to enjoy their retreat. The code of conduct is strictly there to make sure that this occurs.
What is the refund policy?
There are refund opportunities that are laid out in the code of conduct agreement.
Is food included?
This is dependent to each retreat. However, most retreats do NOT include meals so that each individual can control their pricing and options to meet their expectations.
I reserved my spot at the readers sleepover retreat - what is next?
Once the retreat is full, I will reach back out to place all attendees in a group chat. A survey will be sent out to all attendees for dining and itinerary preferences. I will then create the itinerary with dining details based off of the survey information and send out to the group for approval. A live video call may be needed to go over all details. Then the countdown is on until we meet at the retreat!
